Justin Hayes

Justin and Kelsey Hayes are devoted to student ministry, with a shared passion for discipleship, biblical teaching, and investing in the next generation.

 

Originally from Fayette, AL, Justin accepted Christ in 1998 at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church Camp in Guin, AL. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from the University of North Alabama and a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from the University of South Alabama.

Justin’s ministry journey began with leadership roles at Fayette First Baptist Church, followed by his time as Youth Director at Flatwoods Baptist Church beginning in 2023. While there, he led the youth ministry, developed a thriving College and Career Ministry, and directed the Upward Sports program—using athletics as a tool for gospel-centered outreach. In April 2025, Justin joined the staff at First Baptist Church of Woodstock as Youth Director, to continue his heart-driven mission of relational discipleship and Christ-centered teaching.

 

Justin and Kelsey were married on December 17, 2016, and now live in Northport, AL, with their two dogs, Sandy and Milo.

Justin’s favorite verses, Matthew 28:19–20, serves as the foundation for his approach to youth ministry:

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
